    How do I book my stay or spa day?

    Making your booking is quick and easy:

    • Simply call our Reservations Team on 01283 575 671. Lines are open seven days a week: 8am–8pm from Monday to Friday and 9am–5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Times may vary for bank holidays, Christmas and New Year.
    • We will require the date(s) you would like to visit, the full names of everyone in your party, including their titles, and your room requirements if you are booking a stay with us.
    • A selection of stays are also available to book online using the booking tool above.

    What level of payment is taken at the time of booking?

    Online bookings, spa days and special-offer stays require full payment at the time of booking.

    For standard stays, a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of £100 per person is payable on booking when the arrival date is more than 30 days in advance. The balance of the stay is then payable 30 days before arrival. Please note that no reminders are sent out when payment becomes due. In the event of non-payment, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit paid.

    Reservations for full-price stays made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

    Any additional spend during your stay is charged to your account with us and settled before departure.

    Is there a single occupancy charge for residential stays?

    We have a small number of single Classic Rooms. Single occupancy stays are also available in our double and twin Classic Rooms. A supplement of £40 per night applies for single occupancy stays in our double and twin Classic Rooms.

    Do you allow children at Hoar Cross Hall?

    The minimum age for residential and day spa guests is 16 years.

    How do I book a treatment?

    Due to their popularity and to avoid disappointment we recommend that inclusive and additional treatments are booked as far in advance as possible with our Reservations Team on 01283 575 671. Treatment availability cannot be guaranteed on the day.     How do I book a class or outdoor activity?

    Residents and day spa guests can make their booking directly with Gym Reception on arrival. Members can book classes and outdoor activities up to a week in advance, either in person or by calling 01283 576 517. Kindly note that places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.     What is your cancellation policy?

    Standard spa days cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival incur a 50% charge of the total booking. Those cancelled within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable. If you would like to change the date of your spa day booking, a cancellation waver fee of £20 per person per date change is payable. Cancellations received within 48 hours of arrival are non-refundable and no date change will be offered.

    Special-offer spa days are non-refundable. However, a date change can be made at an additional charge of £20 per person. Please note that date changes may also be subject to a package change or price increase. Cancellations received within 48 hours of arrival are non-refundable and no date change will be offered.

    All stays booked online are non-transferable. However, a date change can be made for an additional charge at the discretion of the management team. Please note that date changes may also be subject to a package change or price increase. Cancellations received within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable and no date change will be offered.

    Standard stays cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival incur a loss of the £100 per person deposit. Those cancelled between 7 and 30 days of arrival incur a loss of the £100 per person deposit and 50% of the remaining balance. Those cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival are non-refundable. If you would like to change the arrival date of a stay booked over the telephone, this is at the discretion of the Management Team and subject to a cancellation waver fee.

    Special-offer stays are non-refundable. However, a date change can be made for an additional charge at the discretion of the management team.     Which payment methods do you accept?

    We accept cash, Paypal and all major credit and debit cards. Gift card payments are not accepted online.

    Stays

    What time can I check in to my room?

    You can arrive at the hotel and check into your room from 3pm. If you would like to arrive from 11am and enjoy full use of our facilities plus a delicious lunch, our early arrival package is available for just £40 per person. To book our early arrival package, please call our Reservations Team on 01283 575 671.

    What time is check-out?

    We kindly ask that you check-out of your room by 11:00am on the day of departure. However, you can continue your stay until 5:30pm, by which time we politely ask that you settle your account and depart from the hotel.

    What does my stay include?

    • Accommodation in one of our beautifully appointed bedrooms or suites.
    • A sumptuous three-course à la carte dinner, a delicious breakfast and lunch for each night of your stay and on the day of your departure.
    • A luxury robe, fluffy towels and slippers are yours to use across the hotel for the duration of your stay.
    • You’ll receive full use of our state-of-the-art spa and leisure facilities, with access to a daily programme of fitness and relaxation classes and a range of outdoor activities, including cycling, tennis and archery.

    Many of our luxury spa breaks also offer inclusive treatment time – yours to use as you choose across our entire treatment range.

    Do your rooms have ironing facilities?

    There are no irons in the rooms, but simply call down to Hotel Reception from your room and we will bring an iron and ironing board up to you.

    What room types do you offer?

    We offer elegant Classic Rooms, Luxury Rooms with relaxing whirlpool baths, Suites with spacious lounges, extra-special Deluxe and Superior Suites, and our palatial two-bedroom Royal Suite. We also have a number of single, triple and quad Classic Rooms, a four-poster Luxury Room, and a Superior Suite that sleeps four. Some of our suites even have balconies, hot tub and sauna.

    What should I bring to the hotel?

    A luxury bathrobe, slippers and fluffy towels are provided for you on arrival. For day time, in addition to swimwear, we recommend that you bring along suitable clothing and footwear for use in the gym and during classes. We advise you not to bring jewellery or valuables to the spa area, as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to such items. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotions and hairdryers are also available in our changing areas.

    Please note that there is a £35 charge if you fail to return your bathrobe, payable on departure.

    During the evening, we ask for smart casual clothing – no trainers or ripped jeans.

    Will specific medical conditions or pregnancy affect my use of the facilities?

    Pregnancy, certain medical conditions or injuries may prevent the use of some facilities and treatments. If you are pregnant or suffer from any of the following, please notify us before your arrival, as some treatments, facilities and classes may not be suitable for you, or we may require a doctor’s note to continue with your treatment selection:

    Spa Days

    What are the arrival and departure times for day spa experiences?

    Depending on the experience you choose, arrival and departure times vary. However, with our full-day experiences, arrival is from 8.30am and departure is by 8pm. Find out more about our relaxing spa days.

    What is included in my day spa experience?

    • A welcome drink and an introduction to the spa
    • Use of a luxury robe, fluffy towels and pampering spa products in our changing rooms
    • Full use of our spa and leisure facilities, with access to a programme of fitness and relaxation classes and a range of outdoor activities, including cycling, tennis and archery
    • Delicious dining with a three course lunch in the Seventh Heaven Restaurant

    What should I bring with me?

    In addition to swimwear, we recommend that you bring along suitable clothing and footwear for use in the gym and during classes, along with slippers or flip-flops to walk around the building. We advise you not to bring jewellery or valuables to the spa, as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to such items.     Dining

    What time is breakfast, lunch and dinner served?

    Breakfast is served from 7.00am to 10am Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 10.30am Saturday and Sunday in the Ballroom. If you are a day spa guest and would like to join us for breakfast, please contact our Reservations Team on 01283 575 671. The price is £17.50 per person. Breakfast is served from 8.30am to 10am for day spa guests.

    Lunch is served from 11.45am to 2.30pm and pre-scheduled for you. If you would like to arrive from 11am and enjoy full use of our facilities, plus a delicious lunch, our early arrival package is available for just £40 per person. To book our early arrival package, please call our Reservations Team on 01283 575 671.

    Dinner is served from 6.30pm to 9.30pm in the Ballroom. If you are a resident, we advise you to book your preferred time for dinner prior to your arrival by contacting Hotel Reception on 01283 575 671. If you are a day spa guest and would like to join us for dinner, please let our Reservations Team know. Dinner is available from £37.50 per person for three courses.

    Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

    Our menus offer a variety of delicious gluten-, dairy- and nut-free choices. If you have any special dietary requirements or food allergies, please let us know beforehand and we’ll be happy to discuss your needs.

    Do you serve alcohol at the spa?

    Our Long Gallery bar offers a full range of Champagnes, wines, beers, spirits and cocktails. We also have a comprehensive wine list available with dinner. At lunchtime, we operate a two-glass alcoholic beverage policy per person for health and safety reasons

    What should I wear for my treatment?

    Please wear either underwear or dry swimwear underneath your robe. Disposable underwear is available on request. We recommend flip-flops are worn for pedicures. We ask that you remove make-up and contact lenses prior to a facial, eye treatment or make-up session. Most treatments also require you to remove your jewellery.

    When should I arrive for my treatment?

    Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment. You will be asked to fill out a lifestyle questionnaire to help us determine that the treatment booked is suitable for you and ensure it is tailored to your specific needs.

    While we always do our very best to accommodate late arrivals, if your therapist has a treatment booked in immediately afterwards, kindly note that your treatment will end as scheduled.

    What products are used with your treatments?

    Our treatments use a range of amazing products from our product houses: Clarins, Elemis and Jessica. Our signature Timepeace Collection treatments include Le Sultane de Saba. Many of the products used are available to purchase from our on-site spa and beauty retail area.

    Can I change my inclusive treatment?

    Kindly note that inclusive treatments are non-transferable and non-refundable.

    Is it possible to request a specific therapist?

    If you would like to request a particular therapist, we will try our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee this.

    Are any of your treatments suitable for men?

    Many of our treatments are suitable for men; we even offer a range of treatments created specifically for men. Please view our treatment range to find out more.

    Will I be able to use the spa facilities directly after my treatment?

    Following a treatment, we recommend that you relax in one of our lounges for at least 10 minutes and drink plenty of water before using the spa facilities. Some treatments may affect use of the saunas, steam rooms, saunariums and other facilities. Your therapist will be on hand to provide additional guidance

    What happens if I need to cancel my treatment?

    Inclusive and additional treatments are non-transferable and non-refundable.

    Fitness and Relaxation

    What classes and activities are available at Hoar Cross Hall?

    We offer a wide range of classes for all levels of fitness and abilities, from Zumba® and spinning to yoga and Tai Chi. Archery, tennis, cycling and table tennis are just some of the inclusive activities we offer.

    Do I need to book to take part in classes and activities?

    Booking is required for all classes, scheduled outdoor activities, indoor and outdoor table tennis, and the tennis courts. Residents and day spa guests can make their booking directly with Gym Reception on arrival. Members can book classes and outdoor activities up to a week in advance, either in person or by calling 01283 576 517.

    Kindly note that places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents and members have unlimited access to our classes. Day spa guests can enjoy up to two classes as part of their experience and purchase additional classes for £4 each, payable at Day Spa Reception.

    Where should I meet before a class?

    Aqua Splash meets in the hydrotherapy pool, Spin Express and archery meet at Gym Reception, and the guided walk meets at Hotel Reception. All other classes meet outside the Aerobics Studio.

    What footwear should I wear to take part in classes?

    Training shoes are recommended for gym workouts and all the Work the Body classes. They are not required for Soothe the Mind classes.

    What equipment is available in the gym?

    Our large, modern gym houses a wide range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment, providing you with a wide variety of workout options.

    Are personal training sessions available?

    Our Gym Team are on hand to offer advice and assistance during your visit. One-to-one personal training sessions and fitness profiles are also available at an additional cost

    Gift Cards

    What types of gift cards can I purchase?

    Hoar Cross Hall Spa Hotel gift cards are available in £10, £25, £50 and £100 denominations. Alternatively, if you have a specific gift in mind, you can purchase an experience gift card, which the recipient can redeem against the stay or spa day you select on their behalf.     How do I use my Hoar Cross Hall gift card to book a stay or a day spa visit?

    A Hoar Cross Hall monetary gift card can be used as full or part payment towards a stay or spa day. Simply call our team on 01283 575 671 to make your booking, and quote the number and expiry date printed on your card. Gift cards can also be used for treatments and purchases made across the resort. However, please note that you cannot use a gift card to purchase additional gift cards from the resort.

    An experience gift card is redeemable against the experience specified on the card. It is non-transferable but can be upgraded for an additional cost, subject to availability.

    Do your gift cards have any special terms and conditions?

    Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is printed on the reverse of the card. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or redeemed against existing bookings where payment has already been made

    Miscellaneous

    How do I find you?

    Hoar Cross Hall Spa Hotel is situated in the sleepy Staffordshire village of Hoar Cross. Located just off the A515, the hotel is just 9 miles from Burton upon Trent, 22 miles from Derby and 30 miles from Birmingham.

    The nearest railway station is Burton-on-Trent, which has direct rail links from Derby and Birmingham. There is a direct train service to nearby Lichfield Trent Valley from London Euston.

    Does the hotel cater for people with disabilities?

    Yes, we have a wide range of facilities to cater for guests with disabilities, including wheelchair users and customers with sight or hearing impairments.

    The hotel has a number of disabled car parking spaces adjacent to the main entrance. A ramped entrance beside the disabled bays allows for wheelchair access to the main building. Day spa guests can access the building through a dedicated ramp to the right of the day spa entrance.

    Assistance with completing registration forms and reading menus can be arranged, as well as in the unlikely event of needing to evacuate the building.

    We have several disabled guest bedrooms located on the ground floor, with wide-entry doors, walk-in showers, grab rails and flexible furniture arrangements. There is also lift access to every floor of the hotel. Porters are on duty 24/7 to assist with luggage and navigating around the hotel.

    Please note that due to the age of the main building, the corridors narrow in certain places and are suitable for wheelchair access up to 75cm wide.

    Is there parking at the hotel?

    Yes, we have extensive free on-site car parking for guests.

    Can I use my mobile phone at the hotel?

    To maintain the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel, the use of mobile phones and laptops is not permitted in the spa area and in several of our lounges.

    Is there a minimum age limit to visit Hoar Cross Hall?

    Yes, we ask that all guests are at least 16 years old before visiting the hotel, either as a residential or day spa guest.

    Are pets allowed at the hotel?

    Unfortunately, with the exception of assistance dogs, we don’t allow pets at Hoar Cross Hall.

    Does the hotel have wi-fi?

    Yes, unlimited complimentary wi-fi is available for our guests.

    What is the smoking policy at Hoar Cross Hall?

    Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the building. However, there are designated sheltered areas for smokers outside.
